Communication is Clear
Context for this review is that my previous accountant took the long way around... in every possible way. And since switching to Sam and The Small Business Accountant team I have discovered that VAT returns and Self Assessment doesn't need to take hours, (or even days), 'off the tools'. So many annoying little technicalities and picky-points off my shoulders, I am confident in Sam and Fatema, and I know I can trust the job is being done properly and without fuss. Communication is clear and concise. It's a great service, highly recommend.
Excellent Service
We have been delighted with the excellent service Sam has provided in the 2 years we have worked with him. He responds quickly to phone calls and emails. We had monthly calls for updates on both sides, where Sam really listened, helped with forecasting and looked for areas where financial planning would help my company. He set up our VAT and payroll codes, maternity pay, and dealt with year end statutory accounts and self assessment returns. He trained us on some of the bookkeeping side, helped with Xero queries, and generally updated his service to our circumstances as our company grew. I would definitely recommend his services to a young and growing company.
Professional and Efficient
We (a tuition business) have used The Small Business Accountant for 2 financial years now and Sam has been very professional, knowledgeable and efficient in putting together our end of year accounts. Fatema also assisted on our most recent accounts too and has been helpful throughout. Sam met with us via video call last year and walked us through the process, and has since used email to communicate quickly. We are very happy with our experience and thoroughly recommend The Small Business Accountant.

Very Helpful
I have been pleased with the service that Sam has provided as when it comes to accounting matters my knowledge is very limited! He has been very helpful with good response times to my queries with explanation of terms and set up of accounting from software to making payments. My circumstances have changed so I am unable to continue with him but I would highly recommend him to anyone setting up in business for peace of mind.
Supportive in Setting Up My Business
Sam has been so helpful and supportive whilst I've been setting up my business as a freelancer. It can be a confusing and daunting time, but I am in safe hands and never feel like I can't ask questions regardless of how small or simple!
